All choir members are required to purchase their choir uniform as it is listed below. ALL parts of the uniform are the individual responsibility of the choir student. A well-groomed, neatly uniformed choir is essential for a truly professional and artistic experience. Choir uniform and appearance guidelines are at the discretion of the director. Be respectful of the guidelines to help foster a sense of pride in the group’s performance. Uniforms will be graded at the time of student check-in before each performance. |

BOYS |
|
• White wing-tipped tuxedo shirt
can be purchased for ~$15 at Hobby Lobby, Michael’s, Al’s Formal Wear, etc.
• White undershirt with sleeves
• Black slacks (no jeans)
• Black dress shoes (no tennis shoes!)
• Black socks
• Black bowtie (usually included with shirt)

6TH GRADE GIRLS |
|
• White concert blouse – rented from Krimmel Choir for $10
• Black skirts
o No capris, gouchos, crops, shorts, skorts, slacks, denim, etc.
o Skirt length must be below the knee
o Graphics of any kind or color are unacceptable.
• Black FLATS
o Close toe
o Must cover the heel of the foot.
o No significant heel of any kind.
• Black pantyhose
o No socks, knee highs, thigh highs
A note about skirts:
In choosing a skirt, please be conservative in style. Skirts need not be fashionable, but must meet the function of the choir. Skirt styles need to be straight, semi-gathered or pleated. Do not choose patterns that include but are not limited to: full circle, peasant with tiers, ruffled layers, pencil slim, hi/lo hem line. Do not choose transparent fabrics. See grading information for uniform infractions. |

7TH & 8TH GRADE GIRLS |
|
• Black concert dress – rented from Krimmel Choir for $10

A Note About Shoes: |
|
The shoes that are required for choir are used for function not fashion. Please consider the safety of each student when purchasing shoes. Heeled shoes as well as sandals and backless shoes are unacceptable, and inhibit student safety. See grading information for uniform infractions.

Choir T-Shirts |
|
All Choir members are required to purchase a Choir t-shirt for $10. Students are encouraged to wear any choir t-shirt on Fridays for an added 25 point extra credit grade. All students will wear their choir t-shirt on first and final numbers of the Spring Pop Show. |

Choir Appearance Guidelines: |
|
• Good personal hygiene: clean teeth and hair, deodorant is required.
• Perfumed lotions, sprays, and colognes are not permitted.
• Bathe with soap and water only for a performance.
• Men’s hair: groomed away from the face, and styled appropriately
• Women’s hair: groomed & secured away from the face and browline
o Bangs that stop above or extend to the browline are accepted
o Bangs that pass the browline are unacceptable and must be secured away from the forehead and face.
o Hair accessories must blend with the student’s hair color.
o Short hairstyles that cannot accommodate this configuration must be secured with a headband. Headband must blend with the student’s hair color.
• Jewelry is not allowed, male or female, except for ladies post or stud earrings.
• Clothes must be clean, without stain and pressed neatly.
• Men’s tuxedo shirts must be tucked in.
• Choir T-shirts must be tucked in for a group performance unless otherwise specified by the director.
